Easter ... పునరుత్థాన పండుగ . . ఈస్టర్
ఈస్టరు పండుగ క్రీస్తు జీవితాన్ని,శిలువపై ఆయన మరణాన్ని సమాధి నుంచి పునరుత్థానం చెందడాన్ని జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకునే పవిత్ర దినం . మార్చి 30 తరువాత వచ్చే పౌర్ణమి వెళ్ళాక మొదటి ఆదివారం నాడు ఈస్టరు పండుగ చేస్తారు . క్రైస్తవులకు అతి ముఖ్యమైన పండుగ ఈస్టరు . క్రైస్తవ గ్రంధాలను బట్టి క్రీస్తు శిలువ వేయబడిన తరువాత,మూడవ రోజు పునరుత్థానం చెందాడు . అంటే . . . సమాధి నుండి తిరిగి లేచాడు . ఆ రోజునే ఈస్టర్ దినంగా జరుపుకొంటారు .

దాదాపుగా ఇంగ్లీష్ మాట్లాడే దేశాలన్నీ ఈస్టర్ పండుగను ఒకే విధంగా జరుపుకొంటాయి . గుడ్ ఫ్రైడే ను ఆచరించిన తరువాతి రోజైన శనివారం ఇంటిని ఈస్టర్ గుడ్లతో అలంకరిస్తూ ఉత్సాహంగా గడుపుతారు . ఆదివారం ఉదయం నిద్ర లేవగానే అలంకరించిన గుడ్లు , చాక్లెట్ ఆకారపు గుడ్లు ,చాక్లెట్ కుందేళ్ళు మొదలైన వాటిని అందరికీ పంచుతారు . పరిశుభ్రంగా తయారై చర్చి కి వెళ్లి ప్రార్ధనలో పాల్గొంటారు . మధ్యానం పూట విందు ఆరగిస్తారు . దాదాపుగా అన్ని చోట్లా వేడుక ఒకేలా ఉన్నా . . కొన్నిచోట్ల కొద్దిపాటి మార్పులు కనిపిస్తూ ఉంటాయి .
ఈస్టర్ చరిత్ర :
క్రైస్తవులకు అతి పవిత్రమైన గుడ్ ఫ్రైడే నాడు క్రీస్తు శిలువ వేయబడి మరణించడం జరిగింది . ఈ శిలువ మరణం ప్రభువుకు ముందే తెలుసు . కానీ మన పాపాల నుండి మనలను రక్షించటానికి ప్రభువు మరణానికి సిద్దపడ్డాడు . ఆ ఆచారాన్ని కొనసాగిస్తూ క్రైస్తవులు ఈస్టర్ కు 40 రోజుల ముందు నుండి ఉపవాస ప్రార్ధనలు చేస్తారు . పగలంతా ఉపవాసం ఉండి , మధ్యానం 3 గంటల తరువాత ప్రార్దన చేసుకుని ఉపవాసం విరమించి ఆహారం తీసుకుంటారు . ఈ 40 రోజులను శ్రమల దినాలు (లెంట్ డేస్ ) అని పిలుస్తారు . పిల్లలు, వృద్దులు ,అనారోగ్యం పాలైన వారు అన్ని రోజులు ఉండలేక పోయినా చివరి రోజులైనా తప్పక ఉపవాస ప్రార్ధనలు చేస్తారు . పాపులను రక్షించుటకై , మన పాపముల నుండి మనలను విముక్తులను చేయటానికి ప్రభువైన క్రీస్తు తన ఆత్మ త్యాగం ద్వారా మనకు తెలియపరిచిన రోజు కాబట్టి ఆ రోజును గుడ్ ఫ్రైడే అని పిలుస్తారు . ప్రభువు మరణించిన మూడవ దినమైన ఆదివారం క్రీస్తు పునరుత్థానుడైనాడు కాబట్టి ఆ రోజు క్రైస్తవులందరూ ఆనందోత్సాహాలతో ఈస్టర్ వేడుకను జరుపుకొంటారు . సంతానోత్పత్తి, కొత్త జీవితానికి గుడ్లు చిహ్నాలు కాబట్టి ఈస్టర్ రోజున క్రైస్తవులు గుడ్లు పంచుతారు .

అమెరికా రాజధాని వాషింగ్టన్ లోని వైట్ హౌస్ లో 130 సంవత్సరాలుగా ఈస్టర్ వేడుకలు జరుగుతున్నాయి . పలు వినోద కార్యక్రమాలు , సంగీత కార్యక్రమాల మధ్య మైదానంలో ఈస్టర్ ఎగ్ రోల్స్ ని దొర్లించే కార్యక్రమం జరుగుతుంది .

గుడ్లు సంతానోత్పత్తికి చిహ్నాలుగా , పునరుజ్జీవితానికి చిహ్నంగా ఉపయోగిస్తారు . గుడ్లను అలంకరించి పంచుకోవడం ద్వారా సంతోషాన్ని పంచుకుంటారు .

చీకటిని చీలుస్తూ కాంతి ఉదయించడం పునరుజ్జీవనానికి ప్రతీకగా భావిస్తారు . క్రీస్తు పునరుజ్జీవనానికి సంకేతంగా కొవ్వొత్తులు వెలిగిస్తారు .
